Precision Engineering Division
In October 2008 Taunton Aerospace acquired the business of Elkins Business Services Ltd giving us the ability to supply precision machined components.
Our machine shop now has 3 CNC mills, 3 CNC lathes and 2 manual lathes as described in our plant list. Together with a dedicated inspection area, bonded material store, CAD/CAM facilities and process offices. We have the flexibility to meet demanding deadlines whilst maintaining quality. |

Taunton Aerospace Precision Engineering Division holds accreditation to BSEN ISO 9001-2000 and AS9100. With this, we have been able to supply components to aerospace, marine, medical, ultra-sonic, electronic, military and powder technology markets.

Design and Development

We have full Aerodynamics design capability including CFD and FEA. We have recently designed and manufactured new pitot probes for the US DOD for use on military aircraft We have a sub-sonic wind tunnel on site and access to a full supersonic wind tunnel and icing chamber.
